Four Big Red divers will travel to College Station, Texas for the Zone D Diving Championships for a three-day qualifying competition. The event will run from March 9th to the 11th, with prelims each day beginning at noon.
One-meter finals will begin at 3:15 p.m. on Monday, three-meter at 3 p.m. on Tuesday and platform at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
Seniors Kelsey Clairmont and Frankie Webb qualified for both springboards and the platform dive.
Clairmont picked up her first zone qualification in the first meet of the season against South Dakota State and Omaha, where she scored 296.60, good for a second-place position. She later took third against Iowa State (281.90) and second at the Hawkeye Invitational finals (267.80).
Webb added a duo of qualifications in the dual against Iowa State, where she finished second on the one-meter (283.05) and third on the three-meter (290.90). She added her last qualification at the Hawkeye Invite prelims with a score of 240.25.
Abby Baxter locked in her qualifying scores at the season opener in the double-dual against South Dakota State and Omaha. Her duo of first-place finishes on the one- and three-meter boards were given scores of 292.95 and 316.10, respectively.
Freshman Addy Farman qualified for the three-meter board in a dual over Kansas, where she picked up a third-place finish with a score of 280.58.
For Zone D, there are 11 qualifying positions for the one-meter and platform dives, while there are 10 spots for the three-meter.
