Jensen Tabbed Freshman of the Week

Nebraska softball twp-way freshman Alexis Jensen was recognized as the Softball on Sports Illustrated Freshman of the Week, the organization announced on Tuesday. 

In NU’s weekend sweep of Michigan, Jensen grabbed a 2-0 record in the circle. She tossed a team-high 9.0 innings and struck out 12 batters. Jensen logged an ERA of 3.11 and allowed four runs. 

Offensively, the Gretna, Neb., native earned a .667 batting average and had three RBI with a home run and four hits.

This is Jensen's second honor from Softball on Sports Illustrated this season, as she was the Co-Freshman of the Week on Feb. 17.
