Huskers on the Road to Take on Hawkeyes

The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team (3-3, 1-2 Big Ten) will travel to No. 21 Iowa (4-4, 1-2 Big Ten) on Saturday, Feb. 7. The meet is slated to start at 4 p.m. (CT) at the Carver-Hawkeye Arena and will be streamed on B1G+.

This matchup marks the 44th time that Nebraska and the Hawkeyes have faced off. The last time the two teams met was last season in Lincoln, where NU fell 196.350-195.700.

Last Time Out
NU suffered a 196.625-196.025 loss at home to No. 19 Ohio State. Nebraska recorded a season high overall team score, also notching a season-high 49.075 on floor.

Whitney Jencks captured the all-around title with a season-high 39.325 and the bars title with a season-high 9.900 in the contest. Isabel Sikon took third in the all-around with a career-high 39.100.

Scouting the Competition
Iowa is ranked No. 21 in the Road to Nationals standings, with a highest team score of 196.775 on the season. The Hawkeyes have notable wins over Michigan State and Illinois, with losses to No. 8 Michigan and No. 17 Minnesota.

Sophie Schriever and Aurélie Tran shared the all-around title in Iowa's most recent meet against Minnesota, with both earning a 39.400 in the all-around. Schriever also took a share of the floor title and Tran grabbed a share of the beam title.
