Huskers Set to Battle at Big Fours

The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team (4-5, 2-4 Big Ten) will travel to University Park, Pa. to compete in the Big Fours meet on Saturday, Feb. 28. The meet will begin at 5 p.m. (CT) at Rec Hall and will be televised on the Big Ten Network.

The Huskers will face off against three Big Ten opponents – No. 9 Michigan, No. 20 Penn State and Washington.

Last Time Out
NU fell to No. 25 Maryland on Friday, 196.050-195.900, at the XFINITY Center in College Park, Md. The team grabbed three event titles and five career highs.

Whitney Jencks and Isabel Sikon each took home a share of the vault title after notching a career-high 9.900. Jencks also grabbed the bars title (9.825) and the all-around title (39.225). Isabel Sikon took second in the all-around with a career-high 39.175.

Scouting the Competition
Michigan comes into the contest with a 3-3 conference record and 6-3 overall. The Wolverines have notable victories over No. 18 Iowa, No. 19 Ohio State and Rutgers. They have an NQS team score of 197.090.

Penn State comes into the contest with a 3-3 conference record and 4-4 overall. The Nittany Lions have notable victories over No. 25 Maryland, Illinois and Rutgers. They have an NQS team score of 196.342.

Washington is 2-4 in the Big Ten and 3-7 overall, and possesses an NQS score of 195.329.The Huskies have captured victories over No. 19 Ohio State and Rutgers.
