The College Gymnastics Association announced Wednesday that senior Asher Cohen has been named Specialist of the Week.
Cohen helped lead the Huskers to a 318.600-317.150 win against Penn State with a first-place finish on rings, scoring a 14.35. He also competed on parallel bars, earning a 13.60 to place third.
Cohen is a two-time All-American on rings and earned a silver medal on the event at the 2025 Big Ten Championships. His career high on rings is 14.45, and his career high on parallel bars is 13.70. He is serving as a team captain for the second time this season.
Cohen also excels in the classroom, earning CGA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors each year he has been on the team. He has recorded a 4.0 GPA for five semesters and was named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2024 and 2025.
