Huskers Continue 2025-26 Season with Destination Orlando
Orlando, Fla. - The No. 2 Nebraska bowling team travels to the Sunshine State this week to participate in the Destination Orlando tournament hosted by No. 11 Sacred Heart at Sky Lanes Oct. 24-26.
The Big Red is coming off their first tournament win of the season at the Chelsea Gilliam Penguin Classic, where they placed first in a field of 18. In that tournament, Jillian Martin made the All-Tournament Team with a total pinfall of 1,166 and an average of 233.2, and Abigail Starkey was named Tournament MVP in her college debut.
In Destination Orlando, Nebraska will join a field of 23 other programs, including No. 1 Jacksonville State, No. 3 Vanderbilt, and No. 4 Youngstown State, in addition to 12 other top 25 programs.
Last season in this tournament, the Huskers finished second out of 24 teams, with a total pinfall of 13,813 and an average of 206.2, being beaten by Jacksonville State in the championship round.
NU will begin play on Friday at 8:25 a.m. (CT) in five-game baker matches, followed on Saturday by five traditional matches starting at 7:25 a.m. (CT). Results will determine seeding for bracket play on Sunday, consisting of three best four-of-seven baker matches, starting at 7:25 a.m. (CT) once more.
