Nebraska women's basketball fans can purchase tickets for the second annual Emerald Coast Classic, presented by Global Sports, starting Thursday, Sept. 11 at 11 a.m. (CT) at www.emeraldcoastclassic.com - the official tournament website.
Tickets for the pre-Thanksgiving tournament in Destin, Florida, start at $20 per session, and each session of the two-day tournament at Raider Arena on the campus of Northwestern Florida State College will include two games (Monday, Nov. 24 and Tuesday, Nov. 25).
Championships will be determined in two brackets. Nebraska, Virginia, Northwestern State and Purdue Fort Wayne comprise the Beach Bracket. Mississippi State, Providence, Middle Tennessee State and Alcorn State will play in the Bay Bracket.
Opening round games in the Beach Bracket on that Monday feature Nebraska playing Purdue Fort Wayne at 5 p.m. with Virginia meeting Northwestern State in a 7:30 p.m. tip. The third-place game will start at 5 p.m. on Tuesday Nov. 25 with the championship game slated for 7:30 p.m.
Providence will face Middle Tennessee State in a semifinal round game of the Bay Bracket at 11 a.m. central time on Monday, Nov. 24, while Mississippi State will play Alcorn State at 1:30 p.m.
The third-place game will be played at 11 a.m. on Tuesday Nov. 25 with the championship game scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. tip off on that Tuesday.
Nebraska went 21-12 and advanced to the 2025 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. Mississippi State posted a 22-12 record last season, while advancing to the second round of the 2025 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. Middle Tennessee State recorded a 26-8 mark in 2024-25 and played in the 2025 WBIT.
