Moore, Rogers Selected as Big Ten Postgraduate Scholarship Recipients

Nebraska track and field’s Micaylon Moore and Jenna Rogers were selected to receive a Big Ten Postgraduate Scholarship, the conference announced Monday.

Moore has been the epitome of student-athlete excellence throughout his collegiate career. On the track, he is a three-time All-American in the triple jump, finishing second in the triple jump at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Track Championships with a jump of 16.52m (54-2 ½). He was the Big Ten Indoor Champion in the triple jump in 2025 and is a seven-time Big Ten medalist, competing in the triple and long jump events. His performances helped Nebraska win back-to-back Big Ten outdoor titles in 2023 and 2024. In the classroom, Moore was an Academic All-American in 2024, a four-time member of the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team and a four-time Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar, finishing as a national finalist and second runner-up in 2023. He won the Wayne Duke Postgraduate Scholarship earlier this year. He is a five-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and a member of the Innocents Society. His extensive work in the community includes the NoFilter Service Abroad trip to Ecuador, the B1G Lift Trip to Selma, Ala., over 50 two-hour shifts at St. Elizabeth Hospital and serving as a motivational speaker for schools 20 times as a Huskers.

Rogers, a native of Rutherford, N.J., has had an impressive Husker career, as she most recently earned her best finish at the NCAA Championships, clearing 1.90m (6-2 ¾) to claim bronze at the 2025 finals. She is a USATF Silver Medalist, an eight-time USTFCCCA All-American, a five-time Big Ten Champion and the school record holder in the high jump. Academically, Rogers is a three-time USTFCCCA All-Academic honoree, a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and a four-time Academic All-Big Ten member. She served as the NCAA Competition Oversight Committee Student-Athlete Representative and has also been named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll nine times and the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team three times.

This year’s recipients, who represent 16 different sports, will continue their education in a variety of different disciplines. Each Big Ten institution developed its own on-campus selection process when awarding scholarships. Student-athletes must have maintained at least a 3.2 grade-point average (GPA), demonstrated leadership qualities, served as an excellent role model and intended to continue their academic work beyond their baccalaureate degree at a graduate degree program.

The Big Ten Postgraduate Scholarship will be used to pay expenses of the student’s postgraduate education to include such related activities as research and teaching, as well as other expenses such as tuition, fees, room and board, required course-related supplies and books. To retain the scholarship, the recipient must be accepted into a full-time graduate degree program within three years from the fall semester after selection.
