Panama City, Panama - Former Husker gymnasts Taylor Christopulos claimed gold with Team USA scoring a 283.800 and Yanni Chronopulos earned silver with the Canadian Senior Team with a 233.500 at the Pan-American Games.
Christopulos started off on floor for the United States with a 13.45 for sixth place. He continued his success earning sixth place with a 12.60. For still rings, the Utah native put up a 12.55 for 13th place. His final event of the day was vault where he tied for fifth scoring a 14.00. He did not compete on parallel bars or high bar.
Chronopoulos went for 11.70 on floor for 22nd in the competition. On pommel horse the Ontario native, scored a 12.95 for third place. On still rings, Chronopoulos earned a 13.25 with a stick on his dismount. He competed on vault placing 16th (13.40) and on parallel bars with 12th place (12.65) for his final event of the day.
