The Nebraska rifle team placed eighth at the 2024 NCAA Championships with a team score of 4,680.
Team captain Cecelia Ossi led the team with a sixth-place finish overall and a 1,184 aggregate score.
The Huskers competed in the air rifle event on Saturday, with Emma Rhode notching a 595 to lead NU and earn a 12th place finish. Ossi shot a 593, Charlie Mick posted a 588 and Mackenzie Strauch (587) and Camilla Johannessen (580) rounded out the lineup. The Big Red shot a 2,363 as a team.
TCU took the gold with a 4,732, and West Virginia (4,729) and Alaska-Fairbanks (4,719) finished second and third, respectively. Kentucky (4,718), Air Force (4,709), Navy (4,698), Ole Miss (4,693) and Nebraska (4,680) finished out the field.
