The Nebraska men’s golf team continues a busy stretch when the Huskers travel to West Lafayette, Ind., for the Purdue Fall Invitational (Oct. 9-10).
Following a practice round on Sunday, action gets underway with an 8 a.m. (CT) shotgun start on the par-71, 7,245-yard layout at the Ackerman-Allen Golf Course on Monday, Oct. 9.
The Huskers will be part of a 15-team field set to compete in 36 holes on Monday, before concluding the tournament with the third round on Tuesday, which also will feature an 8 a.m. (CT) shotgun start.
The field at Purdue features four 2023 NCAA Regional qualifiers led by Illinois, Illinois State, Northern Illinois and the hosts from Purdue. Nebraska recently notched a win over Northern Illinois at the Badger Invitational (Oct. 1-3).
The Huskers finished sixth in an 18-team field in Wisconsin, which featured six of the same teams that NU will face at Purdue, including Illinois State (2nd), VCU (T4th), Central Arkansas (8th), Northern Illinois (T9th), Ball State (T11th) and Eastern Michigan (13th).
Butler, Dayton, DePaul, Miami (Ohio), UNLV and Western Kentucky round out the field.
Sophomore Quinn Yost sits atop the Husker lineup at Purdue following his tie for ninth with a career-best 212 (-4) at the Badger Invitational. In his first lineup appearance of the season, Yost fired rounds of 69, 72 and 71 to lead the Huskers.
Junior Hamish Murray was NU’s No. 2 finisher in Wisconsin, tying for 19th at 215 (-1) for his second straight top-20 finish.
Junior Harry Crockett and seniors Reed Malleck and Gentry Scheve round out the Husker contingent in Indiana.

Yost Makes Most of Debut with First Top 10 Finish
Quinn Yost made the most of his season debut for the Huskers at the Badger Invitational by carding a career-best 212 (-4) over three rounds in Wisconsin (Oct. 1-3).
The sophomore from Farmington, N.M., smashed his previous collegiate best by 10 strokes on his way to his first career top-10 finish with a tie for ninth in a 90-golfer field.
Yost opened the Badger Invitational by matching his career best with a 69 (-3) on the par-72, 7,271-yard layout at the University Ridge Golf Club. He added an even-par 72 in the second round, before closing with a 71 (-1) in the final round.
Yost helped the Huskers to a season-best sixth-place finish in an 18-team field in Wisconsin.
Murray Earns Top 10 Finish in Big Red Debut
Junior Hamish Murray produced a top-10 individual finish while making his NCAA Division I and Nebraska debut at the Bearcat Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio (Sept. 18-19).
The Australian tied for ninth overall with a 211 (-2) to lead the Nebraska lineup at the Coldstream Country Club.
Murray helped the Huskers to a ninth-place finish in a strong 14-team field that featured five of the top-30 teams in the nation, according to the Golfweek Preseason Top 30.
Murray notched his second consecutive top-20 finish to open his Nebraska career by tying for 19th with a 215 (-1) at the Badger Invitational (Oct. 1-3).
He opened the tournament with a 69 (-3) before adding a second-round 72. Murray closed with a 74 as Nebraska’s No. 2 finisher at the event.
The transfer from NCAA Division II Cameron University owns a 71.00 stroke average over six rounds for the Huskers this season.
