Huskers Earn 64 Academic All-Big Ten Honors

A total of 64 Nebraska track and field student-athletes received Academic All-Big Ten recognition as the conference office announced its spring and at-large awards on Monday. 

Till Steinforth and McKenna Lovehaug led the way as two of 88 Big Ten student-athletes to achieve unblemished 4.0 GPAs. Steinforth is a sophomore majoring in architectural studies, and Lovehaug is a sophomore majoring in nutrition and health sciences. To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

The track and field honorees were among 131 Husker student-athletes to claim Academic All-Big Ten awards during the spring, including three from the men's golf program, seven from the women's golf program, five each from the bowling and rifle programs, six each from beach volleyball, men's tennis and women's tennis, 12 from softball and 17 from baseball.
