The Nebraska women's gymnastics team will take on Penn State this Friday, Feb. 10. The meet is set to start at 5 p.m. (CT) and will take place at Rec Hall in University Park, Penn. The meet will be streamed live on BTN+.
The Huskers last faced the Nittany Lions last season at the Big Ten Championships. NU outscored PSU, 196.450-194.700. Nebraska leads the series, 43-10.
Last Time Out
NU is coming off of a conference loss to Iowa. The Hawkeyes claimed the victory with a score of 196.475 while the Huskers finished with the meet with a team score of 195.300.
Despite the loss, the Big Red took home three event titles. Kinsey Davis claimed the vault title with a score of 9.850. Emma Spence finished in first on uneven bars with a 9.825, while Sophia McClelland notched a career-best on balance beam with a 9.925 to take home the individual title on the event.
Scouting the Competition
The Nittany Lions are coming off of a Big Ten loss against No. 12 Michigan State, 195.475-197.450.
Ava Piedrahita led PSU, winning the event title on vault with a 9.925. A freshman from Gaithersburg, Md., Piedrahita was the lone competitor in the all-around competition from Penn State. She finished with a score of 39.350, recording four scores over 9.800.
