Huskers in Top Five at Northeast Classic

Lincoln, Neb. - The Nebraska bowling team went 5-0 on day one in New Jersey and currently sit in fifth place at the 2022 Northeast Classic with a total pinfall of 5,031. 

The Big Red started the day off with a win against Monmouth (1,015-956). NU then defeated No. 24 Morgan State (1,089-1,082), St. Francis College Brooklyn (1,016-766) and Chestnut Hill (953-790), before wrapping up the day with a win against No. 13 Delaware State (958-903).  

The Huskers will resume play tomorrow at 9:55 a.m. (ET) against Long Island University in a traditional match, followed by matches against No. 14 Fairleigh Dickinson, No. 12 Duquesne, No. 10 Maryland Eastern Shore and No. 21 Sacred Heart.  

The combined results from Friday and Saturdays total pinfall will seed each team for Sunday's Championship bracket starting at 8:00 a.m. (ET). Each team will compete in three matches of best 4-of-7 baker games for final placements and awards.
