Huskers Gear Up for Rocky Mountain Open

The Big Red travels to Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colo. to compete against top-ranked teams in the Rocky Mountain Open. Nebraska is set to take on Air Force, Arizona State, Michigan, Oklahoma and Stanford this Saturday at 7:00 p.m. CT.

Last Time Out
Looking back at this past weekend's season opener, Nebraska took second place at the West Point Open, falling short behind Big Ten Conference rivals Penn State, 399.300-407.600. Despite this, NU finished with a combined total of five event titles between both days of competition, including sophomore Chris Hiser claiming the title on rings with 13.75 and junior Taylor Christopulos snagging the vault title with 14.85 in the individual finals on day two.

Ahead of the meet, No. 4 NU ranks among top five on events including, second on pommel horse, third on rings, fifth on vault, third on parallel bars, fifth on high bar, and fourth in the all-around.

Scouting the Competition
The Huskers will battle against Air Force, Arizona State, Michigan, Oklahoma and Stanford this weekend, where three of the six teams competing rank among the top five in the national standings, including Michigan at No. 5, Nebraska at No. 4, and Stanford landing in No. 1 for week two. 

Notably, Stanford enters the competition as the previous 2022 NCAA Champions, looking to continue their two year streak as the season builds.
