Postgame Quotes vs. Indiana

On what the past weeks have been like
“It has not been fun at all. It has been a challenge, but I think it has made us a stronger unit and stronger team by going through hard things. It has helped me personally go through hard things and realize where my values are at. It has been good and hopefully we can stack some wins.”
On playing in the fourth quarter
“That was a blast. I thought our defense played really good compared to the last couple of weeks. I think that was just a testament to all of us and really honing in after that bye week. Just locking in and getting the calls in and getting our feet set and just playing football. We are Division I athletes. We are pretty good at playing football, so just getting our feet set and playing.”
On the difference in the defense
“We just simplified it. That was the biggest thing. We just really simplified our calls. Last year we had a really good defense, and we had a lot of old guys, six year or seven year guys even and a lot of talent. This year we had a lot of new guys coming in and stepping up and playing those roles so there just was not that grasp and understanding of the defense like what we had a year ago. So this bye week we just really honed in on simplifying things for everybody the back end linebackers and D-line so I think it worked out really well but like I said it is just one win. Now we have to keep stacking.”
On playing in Memorial Stadium
“Memorial is the best atmosphere I have played at in the Big Ten and basically anywhere. It is just really cool to take it in and you do not get very many opportunities to play at Memorial Stadium. There is a small number of games you get in Memorial Stadium. You never know when your last one is so just I have just been trying to take it in and enjoy it because it is one of the best atmospheres in all of college football.”
