Postgame Quotes vs. Indiana

On Shoulder
“It’s pretty banged up, honestly. Playing through adversity and pushing through, I should be able to get treatment or see the doctor, but at this time I’m not too sure. It feels fine now. Just in the moment I kind of landed on it and felt real sharp pain like a stinger-type deal. So, I think it should hopefully be good to go.”
On not wanting to exit the game
“As soon as I was walking off the field I was like, ‘don’t get anybody ready because I’m going back in the game.’ I had to go to the tent for a little bit to see the doctor and then came back out and they still put (Chubba Purdy) in for one play. I told him that I was ready to go no matter what.”
On touchdown pass to Trey Palmer
“I think it was like a 70-or 80-yard touchdown, so it was good to connect with Trey (Palmer) on a deep ball. He’s been doing a really good job of running hard in practice and games, so I feel like our connection is going to continue to grow. It was good to see him running and go get the ball because he had to adjust a little bit and track it down. I think he’s improving at tracking the ball, and luckily for me, I put it out there with some air and it made him go get it. He ran better than anything, and it was good timing and a good play call.”
On fourth quarter momentum
“We finished in the fourth quarter which is big. We finished with the ball in our hands on offense which was a positive and we’ve been long overdue to finish the game in victory formation with a knee. It was good for us to do that today. I told the guys when the fourth quarter started that we didn’t play our best game through three quarters. We had a lot of penalties. I think we had a penalty on almost every drive throughout the game and it’s hard to come back from first-and-22. The chains are way down the field in those situations. We pushed through some adversity today and the start of the fourth quarter I gathered the whole line and offense and said 'we’re going to win this game up front as long as we play smart and don’t have any more penalties. We put about two or three touchdowns on the board, and we’ll win this game,’ and sure enough we went down and scored two touchdowns in a row so that’s what happened.”
