Highlighting the Huskers
The Nebraska softball team made a strong run at the NCAA Stillwater Regional, advancing to Sunday's regional final before falling 5-2 to the hosts from No. 9 Oklahoma State. The Huskers led the Cowgirls 2-1 in the bottom of the seventh before OSU rallied for four runs to advance to next weekend's Super Regional. Nebraska earned a place in the final with a 9-8, nine-inning walk-off win over No. 21 Wichita State late Saturday night. The Huskers also posted a 3-2 win to eliminate UMBC earlier on Saturday, after opening the tournament with a 6-5 loss to Wichita State on Friday. Coach Rhonda Revelle's squad concluded the season with a 36-22 overall record while advancing to an NCAA Regional Final for the first time since 2016.

The Husker baseball team earned the No. 4 seed in this week's Big Ten Tournament in Omaha by closing the regular season with a series win at Purdue. Nebraska capped the weekend with a 10-5 victory on Saturday, as Max Anderson slammed his second home run of the weekend to set the Big Ten record for homers in a standard conference regular season with 15. The Big Red also set the school team record for most home runs in a season. Nebraska opened the series with a 6-4 win over the Boilermakers on Thursday. The Big Red opens the Big Ten Tournament on Wednesday against fifth-seeded Rutgers at Charles Schwab Field Omaha at 2 p.m.

Academically, 68 Husker student-athletes earned their degrees during commencement exercises at Memorial Stadium on Saturday. Nebraska's group of spring graduates came to Lincoln from 24 states, including 20 native Nebraskans, while eight more Huskers came from six foreign countries.
