Nebraska women's golfer Kirsten Baete managed a second-round 76 at the NCAA Stanford Regional in California on Tuesday.
The fifth-year senior from Beatrice, Neb., battled to find consistency throughout the round on the 6,267-yard, par-71 layout at the Stanford Golf Course. She notched three birdies to go along with nine pars, but also had to settle for five bogeys and a double-bogey to end the day at five-over par.
Through 36 holes, Baete owns an individual total of 151 (+9) to sit in a tie for 43rd. USC's Amari Avery owns the top spot on the individual leader board with a two-round total of 136 (-6), including a 67 (-4) on Tuesday. USC also took over the team lead with a two-round score of 556 (-12), four strokes in front of the hosts from defending national champion Stanford at 560 (-8).
