Huskers Head to Arizona for Westbrook

The Nebraska women's golf team continues its spring season when the Huskers travel to the Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, Ariz., Feb. 27-28.

The Huskers will compete in a 13-team field hosted by the University of Wisconsin on the Vistas Course at the Westbrook Village Golf Club. In addition to the Huskers and Badgers, Big Ten foes Iowa, Minnesota and Ohio State will hit the 6,230-yard, par-72 course, along with Kansas, Kansas State and Oklahoma from the Big 12, while Mississippi State (SEC), Notre Dame (ACC), Washington State (Pac-12), College of Charleston, Denver and UNLV round out the field.

Action will begin on Sunday, Feb. 27 with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. (CT) to set up the first two rounds of continuous play. The tournament concludes with a final round on Monday, Feb. 28 with another shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. (CT).

The Huskers opened spring stroke play competition at the Tulane Classic (Feb. 13-15). Senior Kirsten Baete led the Big Red, tying her personal record with a second-round 66 (-6). She closed the tournament at 231 to tie for 17th. Megan Whittaker added a top-25 finish in a 93-player field by tying for 24th at 233.
