Valley Park, MO - The Nebraska bowling team competed at the Columbia 300 Saints invitational and finished with a 5-3 record and total pinfall of 9,900, which put them in second place.
The Huskers started baker style play with a loss against McKendree (937-974), but quickly bounced back in match two against Maryville (1,027-840). Nebraska fell to Wisconsin Whitewater (908-954), and then played a bye match (938). The Huskers ended the day with a final victory against Central Missouri by a score of 991-954.
Two Huskers made the all tournament team this weekend. Kayla Verstraete claimed second place and had a total pinfall of 1,082 and an average of 216.4. Cassidy Ray, closely behind, secured third place with a total pinfall of 1,080 and an average of 216.
Nebraska will return to the lanes February 18th-20th at the Mid-Winter Invitational in Jonesboro, Ark.
