Lincoln, Neb. - The Nebraska bowling team will begin 2022 by traveling to Las Vegas for the Stormin' Blue & White Vegas Classic January 8-10.
Four of the top five NTCA ranked teams will be competing in Las Vegas this weekend with No. 3 Nebraska. The teams include No. 1 Stephen F. Austin, No. 2 McKendree, No. 5 Vanderbilt, No. 9 Mount St. Mary's, No. 10 Maryville, No. 13 Tulane, No. 18 Maryland Eastern Shore, No. 25 Monmouth, Grambling State, Prairie View A&M, Spalding, and Texas Southern.
Nebraska will kick off the tournament on Saturday with matches against No. 9 Mount St. Mary's, Grambling State, Prairie View A&M, No. 10 Maryville and No. 25 Monmouth. On Sunday, the Huskers will play traditional matches against No. 1 Stephen F. Austin, Spalding, No. 5 Vanderbilt, and No. 2 McKendree.
The Huskers return to the lanes after winning their first three tournaments of the season and hope to continue that streak in 2022.
On Saturday, each team will play five Baker matches beginning at 10:55 a.m. On Sunday, each team will participate in five traditional team matches starting at 9:55 a.m. Individual standings will be determined on individual success during traditional matches. To conclude the meet on Monday at 8:00 a.m., each team will be seeded and play in three best of seven Baker matches.
