Houston, TX - The Nebraska bowling team kicked off the Track Kat Klash and went 4-1 on Friday.
The Huskers started off the day with a win against Delaware State (1,084-923). We took our second win against North Carolina A&T (1,120-1,065). NU then went to battle and fell to Maryland Eastern Shore by a score of 999-1,105. The Huskers bounced back with a win against Prairie View A&M (969-868) and ended the day with another victory against Jackson State (989-956).
Nebraska will begin traditional matches Saturday morning against Alabama A&M. NU will go on to play Texas Southern, Alabama State, and No. 9 Louisiana Tech and finish the day with a match against No. 15 Maryville.
The Huskers will continue play on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. (CT) with five traditional matches. Friday and Saturday's combined results will determine the seeding for Sunday's bracket-play championship tournament, in which each team will play three rounds of best-of-seven Baker matches, beginning at 8:20 a.m. (CT).
