Huskers Head to Texas for Track Kat Klash

Friday-Sunday, November 5-7, 9:55  a.m., 9:30  a.m., 8:20 a.m. (CT) Houston, TX  (Emerald Lanes)

Two weeks after a won at the Bearcat Hammer Open, the Huskers are heading to the Track Kat Klash in Houston, TX, hosted by No. 6 Sam Houston State University. 

A total of 16 teams will be competing this weekend in Houston, including 10 of the top 25 teams ranked by The National Tenpin Coaches Association. The list of teams joining the Huskers this weekend includes Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Central Missouri, Delaware State, Jackson State, Lincoln Memorial, Louisiana Tech, Maryland Eastern Shore, Maryville, Nebraska, North Carolina A&T, Prairie View A&M, Sam Houston State, Southern, Texas Southern, and Valparaiso.

Nebraska will kick off the tournament in Baker matches against No. 14 Delaware State. Matches against No. 5 North Carolina A&T, No. 20 Maryland Eastern Shore, and No. 22 Prairie View A&M will follow. The Huskers will end Friday with a match against Jackson State.

On Saturday, the Huskers begin traditional matches against Alabama A&M, Texas Southern, Alabama State. Their final two matches of the day will be against No. 9 Louisiana Tech, and No. 15 Maryville.

Competition begins Friday morning at 9:55 a.m. with five sets of five-game Baker matches, followed by five traditional matches on Saturday morning, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Combined results from Friday and Saturday will determine the seeding for Sunday's bracket-play championship tournament, where each team will play three rounds of best-of-seven Baker matches beginning at 8:20 a.m.
