Levi Falck Quotes - 11-22-21

Levi Falck
Wide Receiver

On his career at Nebraska
“I am really grateful that I got that second year and got that full experience. Last year the fans were missing. First year in an offense never goes as planned. Getting that second year I got to feel more comfortable and got the fans and it has been everything I could have hoped for.”

On finishing the year with a win
“That would be so awesome. It is obviously doable. We all believe that it is doable. We all truly believe that we are going to come out and end it on a good note and send this team off in a good direction heading into next season.”

On his future after Nebraska
“Just playing at the biggest stage. My goal is obviously to play at the next level whether that is the NFL, CFL. That has always been my goal and showing that I can do it at the highest level in the Power Five and the Big Ten. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to use this platform and hopefully prove the case that I can play at the next level.”

On the transfer portal
“Just getting in right away. I know I got in and texted Luke (McCaffrey) and Adrian (Martinez) and said ‘hey lets go over the offense’. Just learn as much as you can. Just get to know the guys as much as you can. Form those relationships fast and just throw yourself all the way in and do not look back. Do everything the right way. Always showing up on time. Asking questions. Everything has to be you learning as fast as you can and learning the guys and the coaches as fast as you can and all in.”

On coming from previous college experience
“It was huge. Learning all the little things. You learn a lot that you can carry over. Basically when I came to Nebraska it was just learning the verbiage. The new words mean different things, but other than that I knew from playing in games the right spacing and the spacing you need to have, the set on certain coverages and all of that is transferrable. It was mainly just learning the new words.”

On the aggressive offense
“Wisconsin was ranked if best defense if not maybe Georgia slightly ahead of them but their numbers are top defense in the nation and we just have to put our mind to it and be aggressive. We truly believe that we are a really good offense that can put up yards against anyone. Coming out and doing that against Wisconsin gave us a lot of confidence going into Iowa. We are going to be aggressive and we have all the confidence in the world that we are going to be able to be successful.”

On Iowa’s defense
“I think they play really well together. They are cohesive and they have played a lot of games together as a unit and they have been really successful. So has Wisconsin. They all played together. Those corners started in 30-plus games each. We are still going to be aggressive against them and be successful and put up some yards against them.”

On Adrian Martinez
“Everyone is just amazed by what he has gone through. You have not really seen his play dip. He is always out there running around and making athletic throws on the run. Making good decisions. He threw that interception but his shoulder was hurting. Did not look back last drive, drove us all the way down the field. It is just crazy to see. He is playing through multiple injuries. Some guys play through one injury, but he is playing through multiple. Everyone on the team is just amazed and look up to him. We are really proud of what he has accomplished this year.”

On the young wide receivers
“From when I came here to what it is now it has made tremendous strides. Everyone is showing up on time. Everyone knows the offense now. They are not even so much as to ask ‘well what do I do on this route’. Everyone knows. Now they are getting into the deeper questions. What should I do to attack this corner and the strides that these young guys have made is awesome. Samori and I are going to be leaving after this game, and I think we are both proud of how much work they have put in and how we have led them a little bit in the right direction.”

On Samori Toure
“You guys have all seen it. He works his tail off and crazy fast. He has a special gift of getting open over the middle and if the ball is in the air he is going to come down with it. It has been really awesome to watch it and it has been fun to watch him succeed at a high level coming from the FCS school.”
