Nebraska started off that day with a loss against Arkansas State (981-1,002). In the second match, the Huskers bowled six consecutive strikes to help them win against Duquesne (1,038-951). We ran with that momentum to take the third and fourth match against Youngstown State (1,024-1,009) and Upper Iowa (1,038-810). Nebraska claimed the last match of the day against Carthage by a score of 1,039-793.
Nebraska will start day two with traditional play against Marian.
Combined results from Friday and Saturday will determine the seeding for Sunday's bracket-play championship tournament, where each team will play rounds of best-of-seven Baker matches beginning at 8:30 a.m.
