Norman, Okla. -- The Nebraska women's tennis team wrapped up its first day of play at the 15K Norman ITF.
Sophomore Kristina Novak was the lone Husker to compete today as she impressively defeated Susana L. Alcaraz of Mexico, 6-1, 6-2 in the qualifying singles draw.
Fellow sophomores Vivien Sandberg and Isabel Adrover Gallego will compete tomorrow in the main singles draw. Doubles play will also take place tomorrow with Novak and Adrover Gallego teaming up along with Sandberg who will be partnering with Loyola Marymount's Rogozinska Dzik.
