Press Conference Video

On Michigan State rushing offense
“It will be challenge. We just have to keep our leverage and we have to make tackles. We have to be physical on the outside. Physical in the trenches. It is not anything we are not used to do doing.”

On the takeaways from Oklahoma game
“I would say our defense played a great game as a whole. There are mistakes we had that we can get fixed but I feel like we are pursuing to the ball well. We were making great tackles. Making plays on the ball. And we went against a really good offense that can be very explosive and we limited explosive plays. I feel like we did a great job against Oklahoma.”

On limited explosive plays
“Just knowing our job. Not trying to do everybody else’s job. Everybody just staying keyed in to what their job is and trusting the people to the left and right of you. It really helps you out.”

On pass coverage
“It is the techniques but it is also the schemes we run as a whole. I will also say that our front seven is playing really good football as well. Whenever those guys are getting pressure on the quarterback it makes us look good as well.”

On the defensive front
“I would say they are getting after the quarterback pretty good even though they might not get a sack they are still effecting the ball.”

On preparing for the Big Ten Conference games
“I would say it is both. You have to be physically prepared to play these big time football games but you also have to be stable mentally and know what your assignment is each and every play going into the game and during the game.”

On the defense’s confidence
“We already knew we were a good defense going into that game but we did play a very good football game. So I think it did boost our confidence but I do not think it was anything we did not already have.”

On the buildup of the Oklahoma game
“We still have to be prepared for Michigan State because they are also a good team coming in. I would say that we cannot sleep on anybody. I think they are a great football team.”
