On the pass rush
“That was a big emphasis for us at least for me in spring ball. You saw we got maybe like two three sacks in that first half. In that second half they kind of after they switched quarterbacks they kind of went to a quick three drop quick passes I mean there is really not much you can do on that except get your hands up in the window try to get a batted ball but I am really impressed I am really proud of what we did up front and with the pass rush.”
On coming back after a tough game
“We just shook it off we came back and had a pretty good solid practice today corrected some things that we needed to correct and moving forward we are on to Fordham now.”
On the defense
“Yes for sure now we just have to be consistent with it. When we make adjustments we have to be able to do it on the fly and kind of do our thing and stop them and get the offense the ball back I mean that is the purpose right so that first half we came out pretty solid and I feel like we know what it feels like now to play in a game with that kind of tempo so you should see more of that.”
On the defense reacting to coming from behind
“It is going to happen so when you get in a hole you just have to dig yourself back out. We do our own thing I know we bring our own juice. Offense is going to mess up some times just like how we are going to mess up a few times so you just got to be able to bounce back and brush it off next play.”
On a poor second half start
“I do not really know. Coming out for that second half they kind of just took us for a ride we were not ready for it so we just have to be better with that coming out for the second half can not allow that to happen we have to be able to give the offense the ball back.”
On the feeling of playing at home
“I am excited. It is great to be have Memorial Stadium filled back up. We are playing against Fordham I know the fans are still going to come out and show out and show their support so I am really appreciative of that. It is a big thing having that home advantage it can be intimidating to some teams so I am really happy and excited.”
