Former Husker Dalano Banton turned in another solid performance Tuesday afternoon, as Toronto finished up NBA Summer League in Las Vegas with an 86-72 win over the Brooklyn Nets. A 6-foot-9 guard, Banton nearly posted his second double-double of the week, finishing with nine points, a team-high nine rebounds and four assists in 25 minutes as Toronto finished with a 4-1 record.
A second-round draft pick who signed a multi-year contract on Saturday, Banton played in all five game for the Raptors during Summer League, averaging 7.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game in Las Vegas. His best game of the week came against Golden State when he had 10 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and three steals.
The 2021-21 NBA season begins on Tuesday, Oct. 19 with the entire 2021-22 schedule being released later this week.
