Nebraska Trio Named Big Ten Players To Watch

Nebraska's Dakota Chan, Eleanor Dale and Reagan Raabe earned spots on the Big Ten Players to Watch list, the conference announced Monday.

Chan, a senior midfielder, has played in 36 games in her career at Nebraska, including 32 starts for the Huskers. In 2019, she recorded her first career goal to help NU defeat Long Beach State. She continued her success in her sophomore season with a three-point effort against Indiana with one goal and one assist. Last season, Chan played the entire game on three occasions and scored one goal and dished out one assist to tie for second on the team with three points.

Dale, a sophomore forward from Billingham, England, returns this season after an impressive freshman performance. Dale started each of Nebraska's first five games before an injury sidelined her for the final five contests. Despite playing just half the season, she led the team with two goals on the year. She also recorded a team-high nine shots on goal with 12 shots in 331 minutes of action.

Raabe, a sophomore from Omaha, Neb., started each of the eight games she played in 2020-21, amassing 506 minutes for the Huskers. She led the team with 14 shots on the year and picked up the first point of her Husker career with an assist on Nebraska's first goal of the season against Purdue. Raabe scored her first career goal against Michigan, helping lead Nebraska to a double overtime battle. 

The Big Ten also released its preseason poll voted on by conference head coaches. Nebraska is picked to finish 12th in the conference.
