Lincoln – Nebraska's rifle team enjoyed success in the classroom, as well as in competition during the 2020-21 season as the Huskers' entire lineup was chosen for the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) All-Scholastic team on Monday.
The Huskers honored by the CRCA include Kinga Aletto, Emily Cheramie, Madelynn Erickson, Elena Flake, Cecelia Ossi and Macey Way. Aletto (2019) and Way (2020) are two-time honorees while the other four were chosen for the first time.
The six student-athletes comprised the Huskers' lineup for the 2021 season, a year where the Huskers finished sixth at the NCAA Championships. To be eligible for the CRCA Scholastic All-American honors, a student-athlete must hold a 3.20 grade-point average.
In addition, Nebraska had seven current or former members of the rifle team recognized on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll with GPAs of 3.50 or better during the 2020 fall semester. That group includes Aletto, Cheramie, Erickson, Flake, Ossi along with Elizabeth Lorentz and Anna Butler.
All six Huskers earned a spot on the CRCA All-Scholastic Team
