Huskers Fall to No.37 Iowa

Lincoln, Neb.- The No. 28 Nebraska women's tennis team fell to 9-4 after dropping their match against No.37 Iowa on Sunday. The Huskers managed the doubles point before dropping four singles matches to the Hawkeyes.

In the doubles portion of Sunday's match play Iowa's Vipasha Mehra and Danielle Bauers took down Chloe Kuckelman and Hayley Haakenstad. 
Claire Reifeis and Isa Adrover Gallego responded for the Huskers, defeating hawkeye duo Elise van Heuvelen and Samantha Gillas 6-4.
Kristina Novak and Maja Makoric found a victory over Alexa Noel and Samantha Mannix by a score of 6-4.

In the singles portion of the day, Adrover Gallego fell to No.76 Elise van Heuvelen 4-6, 0-6.
No.88 Kristina Novak dropped her match to No.24 Alexa Noel 1-6, 3-6 before Reifeis struck back for the Huskers, beating Samantha Gillas 7-5, 6-3.
Iowa's Vipasha Mehra took down Haakenstad 4-6, 2-6.
Samantha Mannix clinched the victory over Makoric to solidify the victory for the Hawkeyes. 
At the conclusion of singles play Kuckelman led Michelle Bacalla 6-4.
