Lincoln, Neb. - The Husker bowling team is traveling to Nashville, Tenn., this weekend to compete at the Music City Classic Friday to Sunday.
Coming off a first place finish at the Big Red Invitational, Nebraska now holds a record of 72-29. The Huskers now have won four tournaments this year. In the March poll released by the NTCA, Nebraska remains ranked third. Rounding out the top five are No. 1 McKendree, No. 2 Sam Houston State, No. 4 Vanderbilt, and No. 5 Arkansas State.
There will be 28 other teams joining Nebraska in competition with 19 of them being in the top 25.
The Music City Classic will begin on Friday at 9:40 a.m. with five baker matches. Saturday's play will continue at 9:30 a.m. with five traditional matches. Sunday's matches will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will consist of three best-of-seven baker matches.
