Nebraska Travels for Mid-Winter Classic

Lincoln, Neb. - The Husker bowling team is headed to compete at the Mid-Winter Classic this Friday through Sunday in Jonesboro, Ark.

The Mid-Winter Classic is a tournament stacked with lots of competition. Twelve of the 20 teams are ranked in the top 25 with seven of them being in the top 10.

On day one, the Huskers will go against Upper Iowa. Up next will be No. 15 Wisconsin-Whitewater, followed by No.8 Youngstown State. To cap off the day, Nebraska will have two top five matches. NU will verse No. 5 Arkansas State before finishing the first day against No. 1 McKendree.

Day two for Nebraska will begin with No. 4 Vanderbilt. Alabama State will be the second match and UAB will be the third match for the Huskers. The bowlers will move on to face Lincoln Memorial for a fourth match and complete qualifying play with Grambling.

Bowling will begin on Friday at 10:00 a.m. with five baker matches. Saturday will start at 9:40 a.m. and will consist of five traditional matches. Bracket play will be on Sunday and will kickoff at 8:30 a.m.
