No. 3 Huskers Look to Keep Momentum Against No. 6 Illini

The No. 3 Nebraska men's gymnastics team head back on the road to take on No. 6 the Fighting Illini on Sat., Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. in Champaign, Illinois. 

Last Time Out
The Huskers opened up Big Ten competition with a home win against Iowa. NU had their highest team score of the season capturing a score of 409.850. 

The Huskers claimed four event titles while 11 gymnasts earned career-high scores. All four event titles were also career-high scores. Jake Bonany claimed the floor title with a score of 14.65. Charlie Giles claimed his second consecutive pommel horse title with a score of 14.30. Mitch Tyndall claimed the parallel bars title with a score of 14.30 while Dillan King earned the high bar title with a score of 13.85.

Scouting the Competition
Illinois is coming off of a loss against Minnesota. The Fighting Illini lost to Minnesota 400.900 to 402.800.

Senior Danny Graham claimed the title on still rings with a score of 14.35. Senior Michael Paradise took the top spot on pommel horse with a score of 14.85 while sophomore Hamish Carter placed first on vault with a score of 14.60. 

The Fighting Illini notched a team score of 67.35 on pommel horse while sweeping the podium with the top three scores. Illinois currently is ranked second on still rings with a score of 69.30 and fifth on vault with a team score of 72.20.
