Nebraska men's tennis Head Coach Sean Maymi announced the signing of Iskandar Karimov on Thursday. Karimov will join the program for the 2020-21 season.
"We are excited to have Iskandar join the team" said Maymi. "His work ethic and character wll fit in great with our current team."
Hailing from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Karimov has been training at the Junior Tennis Campions Center (JTCC) in Maryland for the past year. He will join freshmen Shunya Maruyama (Nagano, Japan) and Albert Sprlak Puk (Brno, Czech Republic) and sophomore Victor Moreno Lozano (Madrid, Spain) as Huskers who possess international backgrounds and experience.
Karimov chose Nebraska over Florida Atlantic and the University of Nevada.
