#ProBigRed: Huskers in the NFL - Week 9

Several Huskers made an impact in Week 9 of the 2019 NFL season.

Ameer Abdullah (Vikings) led the way offensively for the Huskers in the NFL this weekend. He hauled in one 16-yard reception for a touchdown, rushed one time for two yards and recorded two tackles on special teams against the Chiefs on Sunday. Abdullah appeared in 71 percent of the special team plays while also seeing the field for nine offensive snaps.

Lavonte David (Buccaneers) was the top Blackshirt in the NFL over the weekend, piling up nine tackles (eight on defense, one on special teams), two tackles for loss, a 14-yard sack and a quarterback hurry. David started at linebacker and played the entire game vs. the Seahawks and was also in for three special team plays.

Brett Maher (Cowboys) was the most productive Husker on special teams, accounting for 13 points in the Cowboys' victory on Monday night. Maher went 3-for-4 on field goals and 4-for-4 on extra points. His longest made field goal was 52 yards.

RB Rex Burkhead: Rushed four times for 18 yards and caught one pass for 16 yards. Burkhead was in for 57 percent of the special team plays and for 36 percent of the offensive snaps.

WR Quincy Enunwa: Did Not Play (IR)

OL Alex Lewis: Started at left guard and played the entire game, while also participating in five special team snaps. Lewis helped the Jets gain 260 yards passing and 83 yards rushing.

G Brent Qvale: Did Not Play (IR)

Denver Broncos (W, 24-19 vs. Browns)
FB Andy Janovich: Recorded one tackle in the victory. Janovich was in for 52 percent of the offensive snaps and also participated in 15 snaps on special teams.
   

   

Oakland Raiders (W, 31-24 vs. Lions)
OL Richie Incognito: Started at left guard and played the entire game, while also appearing in six snaps on special teams. Incognito assisted the Raiders in picking up 289 yards through the air and 171 yards on the ground.

LB Will Compton: Appeared in 50 percent of the special team plays and was also in for 12 snaps defensively. Compton had three tackles on defense and one special teams tackle.

DT Maliek Collins: Started at defensive tackle and played in 68 percent of the plays, while also participating in two special team snaps. Collins was responsible for two tackles, a sack for nine yards, one tackle for loss and a quarterback hurry.

LB Luke Gifford: Appeared in 48 percent of the plays on special teams. Gifford accounted for two tackles.

K Brett Maher: Accounted for 13 points in the victory, going 3-for-4 on field goals and a perfect 4-for-4 on extra points. His longest made field goal was a 52-yarder.
