Peyton Ramsey
Junior, Quarterback
On Nebraska’s pass defense
“I don’t think it had anything to do with their defense. I think it had a lot to do with our skilled guys. How much we believe in them on the perimeter and inside on the one-on-one match-ups. I think that’s what it came down to. We had a really good game plan to prepare for it. All the credit to our guys.”
On Indiana's running game late
“I think that’s a credit to how well we threw the ball and how we spread them out and opening those lanes. Credit to the entire team just continuing to push through the fourth quarter game like we knew it was going to be and taking what they gave us, just trying to get the job done."
On Nebraska’s defense
“They didn’t do a whole lot different [than in film], and that’s a credit to our coaches for preparing us. They mixed some up here and there with a blitz. For the most part, we didn’t see anything too different, so we just rolled with the game plan and in the end, it worked out for us.”
Whop Philyor
Junior, Wide Receiver
On the road win
“Mentally, it shows that we can beat anyone right now. We’re doing exactly what we need to be doing. I’m so proud of my team right now. I’m so happy. All wins are big, but this is probably the biggest one because this is a big stadium. Everyone is against us here. This is big because it got us to be bowl eligible.”
On the unsportsmanlike penalty
“I just have to be more disciplined. I let my emotions get the best of me, so I have to be more disciplined. We’re playing football so everyone’s emotions are high.”
On the energy in Memorial Stadium
“It was a lot. This is the loudest stadium I’ve ever played in. But we feed off that energy. This is what we do.”
