Fairview, Ill. - The Nebraska bowling team went 2-3 on Friday at the Bearcat Hammer Open. The Huskers finished the day in third place with a pinfall of 4,795 heading into the traditional style matches on Saturday.

The Huskers opened with a loss against Lewis with a score of 876-851. Nebraska rallied to take the next two against Upper Iowa (1,014-987) and Kentucky Wesleyan (1,035-836). To end the day, the Huskers lost against St. Francis College-Brooklyn (926-915) and Maryville (1,003-980).

The Huskers will resume play tomorrow against Wisconsin-Whitewater.
