Dedrick Mills
Junior, Running Back

On what they did last week
“Since we had the off-week we basically went over the details of things. Details in runs, blocks and the people that everybody should pick up. That’s pretty much all we did over the break, just basically focusing and being more detailed with the little things.”

On progress since Minnesota
“We’ve made a lot of progress. Like I said, today at practice I saw a lot of things that we probably tweaked a couple of times maybe at the beginning of the season or stuff like that. Last week since we had a walk-thru it was a more detailed practice and got most of those details taken care of.”

On carrying a bigger load vs. Indiana as the No. 1 running back
“Most definitely. I’m ready to carry the ball, that’s all.”

On the mood of the team
“With the break, everybody got themselves back right, everybody had time to think and came back to practice today. With the mood, everybody was having fun and seemed excited to be back out there playing the game and just ready to go.”

On playing in Ireland
“It’s a nice place, a nice place to go visit. I had fun when I went my freshman year, I just didn’t like the food too much, but still, it was a nice place.”

On the food in Ireland
“When I was there, we ate a lot of fish and things like that. I’m not too much of a fish person or a seafood person. They had some good roast beef, it was good.”

On these next two games before another bye
“It’s big, every game is a big game. You need every game for the rest of this season, we need to win out, it’s as simple as that.”

On how to get into a rhythm this week
“Just running the ball hard and running through tacklers. That’s what we've got to do and that’s what we are going to have to do, we really don’t have a choice. Running the ball and finding the right gaps.”

On center Cam Jurgens and the O-Line
“He’s pushing to get better, maybe a few tweaks here and there, but everybody is coming together and it’s starting to look good. I like what I’ve been seeing lately between the O-line and tight ends and everybody.”

On the intensity of practice during the off week
“I mean it was pretty intense, but still I really didn’t look at it as an off-week. We still had practice. I really enjoy being at practice.”
