#ProBigRed: Huskers in the NFL - Week 1

Several Huskers saw action in Week 1 as the 2019 NFL season kicked off last week. 

Rex Burkhead (Patriots) was the most productive former Husker in the NFL offensively this weekend, gaining 85 yards against the Steelers in the win on Sunday. Burkhead rushed eight times for 44 yards and hauled in five receptions for 41 yards. Burkhead's longest grab of the day was 17 yards.

Lavonte David and Ndamukong Suh were both productive defensively for the Buccaneers over the weekend. David started at inside linebacker and played in 96 percent of Tampa Bay's defensive plays, accounting for seven tackles and one tackle for loss. Suh started on the defensive line and participated in 79 percent of the plays on defense while also seeing action in five special team snaps. Suh recorded two tackles and one tackle for loss.

Chris Jones (Cardinals) and Prince Amukamara (Bears) both had three tackles last week. Amukamara was also responsible for two pass deflections on Thursday, while Jones had one pass deflection to go with his three tackles on Sunday.

Brett Maher (Cowboys) and Sam Koch (Ravens) both made positive plays on special teams. Maher scored five points, going a perfect five-for-five on extra points in the Cowboys victory over the Giants. Koch punted one time for 56 yards in the Ravens' blowout win at the Dolphins.
