Huskers Receive AVCA Team Academic Award

The Nebraska beach volleyball team has received an AVCA Team Academic Award. The award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale.

The Huskers' beach volleyball roster posted a cumulative grade-point average of 3.37 during the 2018-19 academic year. Hayley Densberger led the Huskers with a perfect 4.00 GPA during the spring semester.

The Husker volleyball program has earned 18 all-time AVCA Team Academic Awards, 16 for indoor volleyball and two for beach volleyball.
