Husker Golf Announces Challenging Schedule

Lincoln, Neb. --- Head Coach Mark Hankins and staff has finalized the schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 season, which is highlighted by two tournaments hosted by the Huskers.

"We are once again excited about the top-level tournament schedule that our Husker Men's golf team will be able to compete in this fall and spring.  To be ranked high enough for selection into the NCAA Regionals you have to play in the best tournaments across the country and be consistently competitive for tournament titles," Hankins said. "We have developed our Git-R-Done Husker Invitational into a 12 team field and also look forward to being a part of The Prairie Club Invitational in Valentine, NE moving forward.  We get started on Sept. 14th at Duke and close out the regular season at the Big Ten Championships at Rich Harvest Farms in Illinois in the spring."

Nebraska will open their season on September 14-15 at the Rod Myers Invitational at the Duke University Golf Club in Durham, NC. The Huskers will co-host their next tournament of the year with South Dakota State at The Prairie Club Invitational on September 29-30 at The Prairie Club in Valentine, NE.

The Huskers will then travel to Carrolton, TX for the Maridoe Invitational before rounding out the fall season at the Royal Oaks Invitational in Dallas, TX hosted by SMU and Baylor.

Nebraska will open their spring season at the Big Ten Match Play Championship on February 7-8 at the Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, FL, where the Huskers posted their best finish in school history with a fourth place finish out of 14 teams last season.

The Huskers will then visit the desert in Scottsdale, AZ, at the Desert Mountain Golf Resort on February 22 and return to Desert Mountain on March 7-8 for the Desert Mountain Invitational at the Outlaw Golf Course.

Nebraska will then be on Spring Break where they will head to Houston, TX on March 22-28 for the week at the Champions Golf Club before heading back to Texas for The Aggie Invitational at the Traditions Golf Course in College Station on April 4-5.

The Huskers will then host their second tournament of the year for the second annual Git-R-Done Husker Invitational at Firethorn Golf Club on April 11-12. Nebraska will end its regular season at the Hawkeye Invitational in Iowa City, IA, at the Finkbine Golf Course on April 18-19.

Nebraska will look to build on the program's best Big Ten finish in school history of 5th in 2018-19 when they visit Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill. on May 1-3. Rich Harvest Farms formerly hosted the 2017 NCAA Championships Finals.

The Huskers will look to make their first NCAA Regional since 2007 in the 2019-2020 season. The NCAA Regionals will take place on May 11-13 at hosted sites with the NCAA Finals taking place on May 29-June 3 at the Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ.
