Houston, Texas - The Nebraska bowling team went 4-1 on Friday to kick off the Track Kat Klash in Houston, Texas.
The Huskers began the day with a victory over Youngtown State 956-811. NU took their next the three games against Alabama A&M (984-697), McKendree (1,050-983) and Southern (928-820), before falling to Tulane by a score of 927-937.
Nebraska will start traditional match play Saturday morning with a position match against No. 6 Stephen F. Austin. NU will play Maryland Eastern Shore, Maryville, Prairie View A&M and Arkansas State to finish up the day.
The Huskers will continue play on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. (CT) with five traditional matches. Friday and Saturday’s combined results will determine the seeding for Sunday’s bracket-play championship tournament, in which each team will play three rounds of best-of-seven Baker matches, beginning at 8:20 a.m. (CT).
