Jeannie Lozowski is a junior biochemistry major from Port Saint Lucie, Fla. She has been competiting for the Huskers in both doubles and singles over the past two seasons. She is a Big Ten Distinguished scholar and Academic All-Big Ten.
Jeannie took the time to tell us a little more about her life off the tennis court.
Favorite TV show now or as a child: You can’t pick only one. Friends, That 70’s Show, The Office, and The Twilight Zone to name a few.
Favorite pro team: The New York Yankees
Favorite sports movie: Hmm I would have to say the Blind Side. That movie can easily bring me to tears.
Favorite meal: My dad’s homemade lemon chicken
Favorite workout song: Walk by Pantera
Favorite class you've taken: Organic Chemistry
What you would do with a time machine: I would go back to the 60s and 70s so I could experience the era of good music. You can find me there at a Beatles or Led Zeppelin concert.
When you're not competing, you like to: I love listening to music, especially on vinyl.
Greatest challenge you’ve ever faced: Moving away from home to attend college
Best friend: Marina and Victoria are my two closest friends.
What you want to do after college: Attend medical school (UNMC preferred) and become a doctor.
Most Rewarding Community Service Experience: Visiting Ed, a senior citizen at Legacy Retirement home every week.
Facts about Jeannie:

- I have two record players in my apartment and around 50 records. My collection is continuing to grow, however, my favorite records I own are Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd, Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles, and lots of various Led Zeppelin and Bob Dylan
