Saint Paul, Minn. -- The Nebraska men's tennis team will travel north to continue Big Ten play with a match against No. 35 Minnesota on Sunday, March 25 at noon. The 9-5 Huskers are seeking out their first win in Big Ten play.
The Huskers are coming off an 0-2 weekend with a close 4-3 loss to Wisconsin at home and a loss to No. 40 Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa 6-1. In the math against Iowa, junior Toby Boyer suffered his first loss of the season in singles falling to Josh Silverstein in the No. 1 position 4-6, 6-2, 10-8. Senior Linus Erhart remains the only unbeaten singles player on the team.
The Golden Gophers are currently 8-4 overall with wins over Tennessee, Washington, Rice and more. Minnesota also has a 1-0 in Big Ten play with a 5-2 win over Wisconsin.
The Big Red will return home Friday, March 30 for a match against Northwestern at 5 p.m. and a match against No. 7 Illinois at noon on April 1. Admission to all home matches is free.
