LINCOLN, Neb. -- Undefeated No. 9 Nebraska women’s gymnastics welcomes Big Ten foe No. 22 Minnesota to Lincoln for their third consecutive home meet on Saturday night at 7 p.m. at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

The Huskers (3-0 Overall, 3-0 Big Ten) have faced three consecutive Big Ten opponents and are coming off their biggest win yet over Michigan, 196.875-196.525, on Jan. 27 at home. Nebraska sits atop the Big Ten standings in the midst of five-straight conference meets.  In last weekend’s meet, Nebraska tied or defeated Michigan in every rotation after creating a large lead on vault, following junior Sienna Crouse’s career-high 9.975 score.

Minnesota is 5-1 overall (3-1 Big Ten) and is coming off of their only loss against Ohio State (196.775) last weekend, where the Golden Gophers (195.775) took second in a triangular meet over Illinois State (190.875).

All-time against Minnesota, Nebraska leads 30-11-1 and has won 12 of the 14 matchups since NU joined the Big Ten.

The theme for the meet is “Light Up the Night” and 1,000 glow necklaces will be given away to fans. Doors to the Devaney Center open at 6 p.m. and the clear bag policy is in effect. The Huskers will begin the meet on vault, before rotating to bars, beam and floor. A live stream (paid subscription) and live scoring for the meet will be available at Huskers.com. Admission for adults is $5, while children 7 and older and seniors are $3. UNL Students and children under six can enjoy free admission.

Last Time Out

The Huskers handed Michigan their only loss of the season en route to a season-high team score of 196.875. Sienna Crouse posted the second-highest vault score in the country and highest in the Big Ten with a career-high 9.975 to win the vault title. Megan Schweihofer led the beam team with a season-high 9.90. Senior Abbie Epperson hit a career-high all-around score of 39.450 to win the event and slip into the top-25 individual all-arounders in the country.

Scouting Minnesota

The Golden Gophers have posted a 196.075 season high, and have only fallen to Big Ten’s Ohio State in a triangular meet last weekend. Minnesota finished second and defeated Illinois State. True Freshman Lexy Ramler is undefeated in the all-around this season and posted a 39.600 in last weekend’s meet. Ramler boasts the highest all-around score in the Big Ten and owns the top balance beam score in the country with a 9.95. She has been named the Big Ten Gymnast of the Week and Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the last two weeks.

Crouse Tabbed Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week for Second Consecutive Week

Crouse has been named Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week for the last two weeks, while Minnesota’s Lexy Ramler has been named the Big Ten Gymnast of the Week and Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the last two weeks.
