What made you want to start playing softball?
"It took me a long time to convince my parents to let me play so when I was 11 and I finally got the okay from mom and dad I went to my first practice and fell in love with the game."

Why did you decide to play softball at Nebraska?
"I used to come to camp all the time when I was younger and I always got that feeling of being home when I stepped either on campus or in the Gordon. So after being recruited for a while, the coaches told me that they had a place for me and the choice became a no brainer. I always knew I wanted to be a Husker."

What is the best thing about being a Husker?
"Always knowing that you have support from the fans, and always having the opportunity to meet new people."

What are the benefits of being a college softball player?
"With softball being one of the most growing sports, I think seeing the game grow at this level and others is so huge and so amazing to witness and be a part of. "

What are the challenges of being a college softball player?
"Time management for sure."

What career do you plan to go into after college?

"I plan on teaching in a high school and possibly becoming a coach."

What is your role on team/what do you bring to the team?
"I believe that I bring a lot of energy to the team and whenever a teammate is down I try to be the one that says hey you got this and bring them back up."

What are three things that make you unique or that people would be surprised to know about you?
"I used to rodeo with my dad in the summers before I started playing softball. I was homecoming queen at my high school my senior year. I am absolutely obsessed with Corgis."

"Stick It."

"Austen Urness."

"The Perfect Game, by J. Sterling."

Favorite vacation spot?
"Cancun."

"Science."

"Teleportation."

"Volleyball."
