Huskers Prepped for Quail Valley Invitational

VERO BEACH, Fla. - Following a brief break in the schedule, the Nebraska men's golf team is ready to hit the course of its final contest of the fall season at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational on Monday, Oct. 23 - Tuesday, Oct. 24.

Quail Valley Golf Club, a par-72, 7,350-yard course, will serve as host to the Huskers' last competition until Big Ten match play in February.

Jace Guthmiller will anchor the Nebraska squad in the No. 1 spot of the lineup. Guthmiller has either led the Huskers or tied for first in three of the four tournaments this fall. Jackson Wendling is also coming off a tied-for-first finish among the NU golfers at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic and looks to continue to carry his momentum into the event in Florida.

Dylan McCabe and Sean Song join their fellow juniors in the lineup for Monday. This will be McCabe's first appearance in the lineup for the Huskers since competing in Big Ten match play as a freshman. Song last competed at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate and hopes to make an impact in his first appearance since a month ago.

Daniel Pearson is the lone freshman in the lineup and the only one in his class to compete at all five tournaments this fall. Pearson is coming off a third place finish among the Huskers and will aim for success at his fifth collegiate contest.
